He specialises primarily in IT law, with a current focus on legislative developments relating to the NIS2 Directive and cybersecurity. He also concentrates on employment law and on the practical and effective recovery of receivables, including enforcement and insolvency proceedings.
As part of his practice, he has been involved in the resolution of one of the first disputes concerning the ownership of an NFT token in the Czech Republic. This was a unique case with an international dimension, requiring a careful legal approach within a largely uncharted digital environment.
Jan is precise, hardworking, and diligent. Clients value not only his legal knowledge, but above all his reliability and strong determination to protect their interests through to the very end. What he enjoys most about legal practice is its diversity and the ability to approach each matter from the client’s perspective.
He sees IT law as an ongoing legal challenge — not only because of the technologies themselves, but primarily due to the need to ensure that clients have a solid legal framework even in emerging and rapidly evolving areas.
In his free time, he enjoys attending punk and metal concerts, which provide an ideal way for him to clear his mind and recharge.
